Pre/Post-Election Stress Relief with Yoga Nidra
Four Wednesdays 7:00 – 8:15 pm Central Time on Zoom
Oct 21 – Nov 11, 2020
What is Yoga Nidra?
If Yoga Nidra is new to you, and you’re not sure how it could help ease your stress and anxiety, give a listen to this short introduction.
What to bring:
Find a place near your computer or smartphone where you can recline – on a sofa, the floor, a recliner, and even your bed (although you probably will fall asleep if you’re in bed!) We will meet on Zoom so you need to be able to easily reach your digital device from where you set up for your meditation.
- a pillow for under your head
- a pillow or rolled towel for under your knees
- a blanket or two
- an eye cover – eye pillow or folded washcloth
Close the door and turn off the ringer on your phone before you begin.
What do participants have to say about The Resilient Activist’s Yoga Nidra?
This is the first time I feel like I’ve really been able to just let go of a lot of the things that are going on. Not just with my job but with the United States and the greater world. Thank you so much, it was just amazing. I look forward to sharing the recording with others – I know so many people who are really struggling right now and I think it will be a blessing. ~A.M.
I thought that was outstanding! I feel I am ready to go to bed and that’s kind of a big deal for me because I never feel relaxed before going to bed. I’m not usually an anxious person, but whenever I hit the pillow, I feel like a thousand thoughts come to me. This feels like such a blessing and I am so grateful for this meditation.
It was very calming and relaxing and the body scan seemed so complete, in so many details and I really enjoyed that. ~D.B.
Yoga Nidra was wonderful. I could get a little emotional and I’m feeling deeply touched. Being relaxed with what you can’t change is a nice thing for my control issues to help me just chill. ~D.P.
I was noticing tension before we even acknowledged what things were causing us anxiety and worry. In Yoga Nidra, I had a sense of a nature-connected drawdown of the tension. ~T.H.
